Google Play Store

Integrating the Google Play Store as a source allows you to import reviews directly from your app’s Play Store listing. This enables you to gather and analyze user feedback seamlessly within our platform.

Since the reviews on the play store are public, only Data Sensitivity Level 1 is available. This still means we filter PII Data before processing.

Source Specific Configuration Fields​

When setting up the Google Play Store source, you need to provide the following configurations:

Import Start Date​

Field: Import Start Date
Description: Only feedback submitted after the specified date will be imported.

Import Limit​

Field: Import Limit
Description: Set a maximum of 500 feedback entries to be imported. This limit helps manage the volume of data combined with the import start date.

App ID​

Field: App ID
Example: ch.example.app
Description: The unique identifier of your app on the Play Store. You can find this ID appended to your app’s URL on the Play Store (e.g., https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ch.example.app). Ensure you enter the correct App ID to import the relevant reviews.

Language​

Field: Language
Description: Specify the languages of the reviews you want to import from the Play Store.

Country​

Field: Country
Description: Define the Play Store regions from which to load reviews

Important: Add Displayed Email to Google Play Console​

To enable the import of reviews from the Google Play Store, you must add the email address displayed after saving the source to your Google Play Console as a read-only user. Follow these steps to grant the necessary permissions:

  1. Login to Play Console: Navigate to the Google Play Console and log in with your developer account.
  2. Navigate to Users and Permissions: In the sidebar, go to Users and permissions.
  3. Invite New Users: Click on Invite new users.
  4. Provide Email Address: Enter the email address provided by our platform.
  5. Set Permissions:
    • Do Not Set Expiry Date: Ensure the access does not expire.
    • Select App: Choose the app for which you want to share reviews.
    • Grant Role: Assign the View app information (read-only) role.
  6. Apply: Confirm and send the invitation.

Ensuring these permissions are correctly set up is crucial for the seamless import of your app’s reviews.
